Growth Reimagined / CIM Forum 2025

The British Council organized the Growth Reimagined program at the Creative Industries and Media Forum (CIM Forum 2025) in Kotor, Montenegro. Kazakhstan participated in this international event for the first time, showcasing its potential in the creative economy and innovative media.

For the first time in Kazakhstan, the Turkic Game Jam was held!

Over 48 hours, participants, organized into 12 teams, transformed their ideas into full-fledged game projects, resulting in the creation of 9 innovative games.

Educational Programs in the Field of Creative Industries in Tashkent
A meeting was held in Tashkent with representatives of higher education institutions to study the experience of Uzbek universities in implementing educational programs in the field of creative industries, as well as to identify prospects for academic cooperation and joint educational initiatives.
Research on Creative Industries in Kyrgyzstan
On November 28, 2025, an official meeting was held with Evidence Central Asia, an organization specializing in social research, monitoring and evaluation (M&E), scientific reviews, strategic analysis, business planning, policy analysis, and forecasting. The meeting discussed the results of a research project on creative industries in Kyrgyzstan, analytical findings, and prospects for further development.
Collaboration with the MOC Hub Producer Center in Tashkent
A working meeting was held with the founder of the MOC Hub producer center, Mr. Odil Mukhamedov. Today, MOC Hub is not just a creative space but a stable professional community bringing together producers, creators, and representatives of various creative industries in Uzbekistan.
Uzbekistan Culture and Arts Development Fund
The Uzbekistan Culture and Arts Development Fund implements state cultural policy, supports projects in contemporary art, and promotes the development of cultural institutions. The Fund participates in international initiatives and organizes events aimed at developing the creative industries.
Kyrgyzstan Creative Industries Park
On November 26, 2025, an official meeting was held with the Managing Director and members of the Supervisory Board of the Kyrgyzstan Creative Industries Park.
Visit to the International University KIMYO (KIUT)
The university is one of the leading private higher education institutions in Uzbekistan and offers educational programs in design, art, and other creative disciplines. Every year, the university hosts the "Art-Engineering" exhibition, showcasing the integration of art and technology, as well as student participation in creative projects.

    The Director of Creative Kazakhstan Agency is a researcher, trainer, and UN national consultant on creative economy, creative entrepreneurship, and creativity development. She is an expert with over seven years of experience in developing strategies, educational programs, and ecosystem projects in the creative industries in Kazakhstan and Central Asia.
  • Zaure Ongarbaeva
    Head of Projects
    A multidisciplinary professional in the creative industries with over 9 years of experience in film, television, music, and festival production. Has worked as a casting director, executive and line producer, second director, and stage director on feature and festival films, TV shows, concerts, and commercial projects, collaborating with Kazakhfilm Studio, KTK and GAKKU TV channels, as well as production companies such as BasPro, Tanba Media, and others.
  • Gulshat Mukhitdinova
    Trainer of the "Creativity Development" project
    Project coordinator, soft skills trainer, and practicing psychotherapist (M.A. in Psychology), working at the intersection of psychology, education, and the creative economy. She has over 12 years of experience developing and implementing social and educational programs in youth and community development.

    Within the framework of the "Creativity Development" project, she conducts workshops on creative thinking and idea generation, combining psychological expertise with methods for developing creative potential.

    Her approach focuses on unlocking participants’ natural creativity, addressing internal barriers (fear of mistakes, self-criticism, “blank page effect”), and developing cognitive flexibility and teamwork skills. Participants in her programs learn to think more boldly, recognize more opportunities, and transform ideas into implementable projects within the creative industries and social entrepreneurship.
  • Gulnaz Sapargali
    Project Manager
    А graduate of AlmaU Media and Film School, is a specialist in communications, digital promotion, and visual content creation. She has experience in implementing PR projects, managing social media, producing content, and launching targeted advertising.
