On February 18, 2026, Law No. 266-VIII of the Republic of Kazakhstan “On Amendments and Additions to Certain Legislative Acts of the Republic of Kazakhstan on Issues of Support and Development of Creative Industries” was adopted.
The document is aimed at strengthening the institutional framework of the creative economy and systematizing the mechanisms of state support for industry representatives.
Within the framework of the Law, a Register of Creative Industry Entities is being established. This is an online platform for the registration and record-keeping of individuals and legal entities engaged in creative activities. The Law grants the authorized body the powers to establish and maintain the Register of Creative Industry Entities, as well as to monitor the process of attracting private investment within the framework of state co-financing. These provisions are aimed at strengthening cooperation between the public and private sectors and increasing investment activity.
